Terms of Service

1. Agreement

By creating an account or using TrueFit, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms form a binding agreement between you and TrueFit.

2. The service

TrueFit uses Anthropic's Claude AI model to help you tailor your resume for specific job postings. The service produces edited resume text, match scores, keyword analysis, and optionally cover letters based on content you provide.

AI outputs are suggestions only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and validating all AI-generated content before using it in any job application. TrueFit does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any output for any purpose.

3. Accounts

• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
• You must provide accurate information when registering.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your password and for all activity under your account.
• One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.
• You must verify your email address before using the tailoring service.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service to generate content that is false, defamatory, or fraudulent
• Attempt to manipulate, jailbreak, or extract the underlying AI system prompt
• Scrape, crawl, or automate requests to the service
• Reverse-engineer or resell any part of the service
• Use the service in any way that violates applicable law
• Submit content that contains personal information of third parties without their consent

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the resume text and job descriptions you submit. By submitting content, you grant TrueFit a limited, non-exclusive license to process that content through the AI API and store the resulting output for your access.

You represent that you own or have the right to submit any content you provide, and that doing so does not violate any third-party rights.

6. Subscriptions and payment

• The Free plan provides 3 tailorings per month at no charge.
• The Pro plan is billed monthly or annually via Stripe. The price is displayed at checkout and may change with 30 days notice.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial-month refunds are issued.
• TrueFit reserves the right to modify pricing with reasonable notice to existing subscribers.

7. No employment guarantee

Using TrueFit does not guarantee interview requests, job offers, or any employment outcome. Resume tailoring is one factor among many in any hiring process. TrueFit makes no representations about the effectiveness of its outputs for any specific application.

8. Intellectual property

The TrueFit name, logo, interface design, and underlying code are owned by TrueFit and protected by applicable intellectual property law. You may not copy, reproduce, or create derivative works from any part of the service without written permission.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided as-is and as-available without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TrueFit's total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to TrueFit in the three months preceding the claim. TrueFit is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of employment opportunity or income.

11. Termination

TrueFit may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, if required by law, or if your account is inactive for an extended period. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@resumiz.com. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

12. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

13. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or a notice in the dashboard at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
